Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Holy Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and having professed our faith and been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, we seek, with the Spirit’s guidance and help, to live by this covenant.

We commit to walking together in Christian love and working earnestly for the growth of His church in knowledge and holiness. We will promote its spiritual wellbeing and sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and ministry. We will contribute to the church’s expenses, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel throughout the nations.

We will maintain family and private devotions, teach our children the Scriptures and seek the salvation of those who do not yet know Christ. We will live wisely in the world, be honest in our dealings, faithful to our commitments and exemplary in our conduct. We will avoid gossip and excessive anger, and serve eagerly in advancing our Saviour’s kingdom.

We will care for one another in brotherly love, remember one another in prayer and offer help in sickness and distress. We will show compassion and speak with courtesy. We will be slow to take offence and ready to seek reconciliation without delay, remembering the words of our Saviour.
